How to inject – where to inject
Injecting GLP-1 medications is straightforward but should be done properly for the best results. These medications are typically injected subcutaneously (under the skin). The most common injection sites are the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. To inject, clean the area with an alcohol wipe, pinch the skin, and insert the needle at a 90-degree angle. Inject the medication slowly and remove the needle gently. Rotate injection sites with each dose to prevent skin irritation. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions on how and where to inject, and use a new needle for each injection.
